1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide. Name, email address, phone number, postal address, billing information, preferences (food, drink, accessibility), and any other information you submit through our application form, member dashboard, or support channels.
- Automatically collected information. IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent, referrer, and general location, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe holds the sensitive card data and returns us only a token and the last four digits.
- Communications. When you email us or communicate through the platform, we retain those messages to provide support and improve service.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve our services.
- Process memberships, reservations, and payments.
- Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, receipts).
- Send marketing communications if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.
- Personalize your on-board experience (dietary, beverage, accessibility).
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share personal information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the business — including Supabase (database + authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Mapbox (maps), Vercel (hosting), Sentry (error monitoring), and Upstash (rate limiting).
- Crew and staff assigned to your reservations, who may see dietary / accessibility preferences to serve you on-board.
- Legal — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition, subject to continued privacy protections.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent.
4. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., California under the CCPA/CPRA, Europe under the GDPR), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Port your data to another provider.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell).
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@artiziayachts.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days).
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, and periodic security reviews — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upon termination of membership, we retain certain records (billing, safety, compliance) for up to seven years.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function correctly.
8. Children
Our services are directed to adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
